Ashley discovers her love for mycology but struggles with unreliable substrates. Nights in the garage turn into countless experiments.

Mastering Her Craft
After a year of trial & error, Ashley has developed a strong, repeatable substrate formula—clean, consistent, and contamination-resistant.

A Horse With No Name
Ashley begins selling her substrates locally with no name. Just grinding out the work and getting quality substrates to local growers.

Long nights, long days... What started really small was taking up so much that she was always in the garage!

During a delivery a local supporter called her "The Queen of Mushrooms" and she saw a clear vision of the future.

Coronation Day
Queen Substrates is officially born. With a small but mighty team, the company continues supplying local growers in Michigan and branches into the e-commerce and retail markets.
